Sharing the gift of music

Piano students of Karen Olsen shared their talents with family and friends on April 24 during the Spring Piano and Senior Recital at the Canby High School. Performers included (L-R) Lydia Shepherd, Juliette Shepherd, Rachel Shepherd, Kyla Rangaard, Grace Hansen, and Alise Hansen.


Zahndra Bordewyk never let her opponent take first base in the first game of the Minneota/Canby vs. Lakeview game April 11. The Vikings defeated the Lakers 14-0 in the first game and 19-7 in the second.

Minneota-Canby softball starts season off with two wins over Lakeview

The Minneota/Canby Vikings softball team started their season off on the right foot, defeating Lakeview twice at home.

The first game went fast with the Vikings shutting out the Lakers 14-0.

Lakeview tried to fight back in the second game, but Minneota/Canby prevailed with a 19-7 victory.

Seatbelt Awareness Challenge

YAMS members and staff (above) participated in Countyside Public Health's seatbelt challenge April 19 at the Canby High School with the help of Police Chief Eric Diekman, Fire Chief Derrick Ruether and Investigator Casey Namken. The challenge was a regional seat belt race to help raise awareness for the Minnesota Toward Zero Deaths program.
