Danebod Lutheran Church in Tyler will be installing a new pastor during a ceremony in September. Pastor Megan Eide began serving at Danebod on Aug. 14 and led her first service on Aug. 20.

School may not be starting until Sept. 11 for Tracy Area Public Schools due to the two-year construction project, but, the project is moving along and the school will begin hosting events this week, TAPS Supt. Chad Anderson said during the regular school board meeting Monday night.

State Rep. Chris Swedzinski

With 44 Democrat lawmakers declaring that they do not support a fix to law that has left dozens of schools without school resources officers, state Rep. Chris Swedzinski, R-Ghent, is urging those Democrats who remain undecided to join Republicans in asking Gov. Tim Walz to call a special session and work together on a solution.

Traverse County Gazette News - Traverse County Commissioners will consider regulations in the coming weeks regarding the public use of marijuana products. Commissioners during their meeting on Aug. 15 discussed whether they should adopt an ordinance following the legalization of marijuana in the state earlier this summer.
