The Renville County Register - The constituents of BOLD School district voted in favor of a $39.9 million referendum during Tuesday Nov. 7 elections.

Hunters can participate in a program that allows them to donate whole deer they harvest to food shelves and feeding programs.

The Canby School Board met on November 20.

On November 22, the Canby City Council came to order with Canby Fire Chief Derrick Ruether first on the evening’s agenda.  

Ruether was present to inform the council the fire department sold the grass rig for $35,000, the tanker for $15,000, and the side-by-side for $15,000.

Ferguson design studio had their grand opening on Thursday last week, and the parking lot was busy as cars came and went to check out the new location (pictured above) picture by Jeff Ferguson.

When entering the Porter Cafe these days, you’ll be met with the chatter and laughter of happy patrons, and that is due to new manager, Doug Coil.

Coil took over management of the café a little over two weeks ago and has been working tirelessly to make sure those who walk through the door leave happy.

After 13 years with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Ortonville, Minn. resident Paul Nelson retired from Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge on October 31.
