Ardith M. Lyslo

Ardith M. (Ardie) Lyslo of Burnsville passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ardith Myrna Raveling was born June 23, 1939, in Remson, Iowa, to John and Ada (Radwig) Raveling. As a child she moved with her family to Le Mars, Iowa. After graduation from Le Mars High School, she earned a nursing degree at St. Vincent School of Nursing in Sioux City, Iowa.

Ardie continued her medical studies at the Minneapolis School of Anesthesia, graduating as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). She began her career at Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis.

She was united in marriage on May 6, 1965, in Le Mars to Waldemar M. (Wally) Lyslo of Canby, Minn. They made their home in Burnsville, Minn. To their union were born a son, Waldemar J. (Gunner) and a daughter, Kirsten Marget.

When the family moved to Washington, D.C., Ardie worked at Columbia Hospital for Women and at Doctors Hospital in Arlington, Va. Upon the couple's return to Minnesota, she resumed her CRNA work at Fairview Southdale Hospital.

She enjoyed traveling, lively conversation, and cooking gourmet meals. Friends and family admired Ardie for her gumption, her professional accomplishments, her outspokenness and humor, her amazing cooking talents, and her joy in her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Wally of Burnsville, son Gunner (Laura) and grandsons Preston and Emerson, all of Naperville, Ill.; brother Vernon Raveling of Chandler, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Gilbert and Lyle Raveling, and by her daughter Kirsten Lyslo in 2015.

The family suggests memorials in Ardie's memory to the M Health Fairview Neurological Foundation.
