Dennis Lorenzen

Dennis Lee Lorenzen, 74, of Astoria, S.D., passed away due to health complications on Oct. 10, 2021, with his wife by his side. In honor of Dennis’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial.

Dennis was born June 12, 1947, to Edwin and LaVonne Lorenzen.

Dennis and Barb were united in marriage on Aug. 20, 1999, in Clear Lake, S.D.

Dennis loved hunting, collecting antiques and spending time with grandkids.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Barbara of Astoria, S.D.; his four-legged child, Chloe, our dog, whom he adored; his children, Nicole Lawson of Coulter, Iowa, Darin (Liz) Lorenzen of Newark, Del., Dustin (Traci) Lorenzen of Buffalo Center, Iowa, and Jamie (Chris) Lamont of Lakota, Iowa; stepchildren, Jason Anderson and special friend, Connie, of Canby and Jamie (Kelli) Anderson of Minneota; grandchildren, Kayla, Samantha, Levi, Trevor, Jordan, Cale, Lucy, Oliver, Storm, Thor and Paxton; step-grandchildren, Quinton and Brilee; siblings, Lester (Linda) of Holdrege, Neb., Shyrlee Hanson of Dawson, Dale Lorenzen of Gary, SD, Janice (Frank) Remerowski of Marshall, Gary (Belinda) Lorenzen of Kranzburg, SD, Karen (James) Kemig of Gary, SD, Linda (Curt) Strampe of Chandler, MN, Marlin (Margo) Lorenzen of Brookings, SD, Marlene (Neil) Schumacher of Gary, S.D., Terry Lorenzen of Sioux Falls, SD, and Don Lorenzen of Fargo, ND.

Dennis is preceeded in death by his parents, Edwin and LaVonne Lorenzen; and brothers, Ronald and Gale Lorenzen.
