James Wendroth

James “Jim” C. Wendroth, age 84, of St. Peter, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, at his home.
Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at First Lutheran Church, St. Peter. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
James was born June 14, 1940, to Christ and Lillian Marie (Kelm) Wendroth at home in Pine County, Minn.
Jim was united in marriage to Karen M. Sillman on Nov. 22, 1974, in Brookings, S.D. 
He was employed as a contractor from 1975 to the present. Jim was also an active part of his wife's business, Karen’s Flowers for over 50 years
Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working, but especially spending time with his family and friends.
Jim is survived by his wife, Karen; eight children, Tammi (Brian) Bustad, Terri Wendroth, James S. (Anne) Wendroth, Daniel (Shelly) Wendroth, Patsi Belden, Kari (Matt) Leonard, Jason (Molly) Wendroth, and Jamie Wendroth; 29 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four siblings, Charles Wendroth, June Fisher, LuVern (Leon) Bredeck, and Chris Wendroth; four sisters-in-law, Millie Wendroth, Doreen Headlee, Sherri (Fred) Full, and Laurie Bonsack; two brothers-in-law, Richard McLain and Mike Tollefson; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Penni; sister, Sylvia (Denzil) Hickman; brother, Arthur Wendroth; in-laws; Donovan and Margie Sillman, Dennis Sillman, Diana (Mike) Sanford/Kisor, Dale Sillman, Marsha Tollefson, Patty McLain, and Tom Headlee.
