Leroy A. Hemish, age 94, of Hayti, S.D., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024, at Edgewood Living Center. Funeral services were held Monday, August 19, 2024, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown, S.D. Scott Dempster officiated. Burial took place at the Canby City Cemetery in Canby, Minn.

Gerry Gingles, age 84, of Canby, Minn., passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. Funeral service were held Monday, July 29, 2024, at the First Presbyterian Church in Canby with burial in the Canby City Cemetery.
Leslie “Les” Mead, age 78, of Canby, Minn., passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024, surrounded by family at his home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 17, from 4-6 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby.
Mass of Christian burial for Thomas Aloysius Swedzinski, 93, of Porter will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota beginning at 11 a.m. A public visitation took place July 15, 2024 at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Minneota with a prayer service.
Delores Haugen, age 95, of rural Canby, Minn. passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at her farm. Funeral service will be Friday, July 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Canby. Visitation will be Thursday, July 11, from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby.
Tamara (Tammy) Joyce Haag, age 61, of St. Charles, Minn., died in her home on January 23, 2024. Tammy was born on November 21, 1962, to Iven and Joyce (Ufkin) Fairchild in Canby, Minn., She graduated from Gary High School and started college at Brookings, S.D., where she met her first husband.
Judith (Judy) Stone, 74, of Roseville, Minn., passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, June 16, 2024, surrounded by family.
Services for Florence Sommerer, 95, of Marshall, formerly of Canby are pending.
Florence died on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the Avera Regional Medical Center.
