Mass of Christian Burial for Ruth Winkels, age 102, will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2026, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Canby, Minn. A private family burial will be in the St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Canby. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby is entrusted with the arrangements.

Sandra Fae Nelson, age 82, of Canby, Minn., passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Sylvan Court Nursing Home in Canby. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby. Visitation will be held Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Milo Larson, age 82, of Canby, Minn., passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. Memorial service took place Saturday, May 30, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby, with burial at the Canby City Cemetery. LaVonne Berndt, age 92, of Canby, Minn., passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Sylvan Court Nursing Home in Canby. Funeral service was held Friday, May 29, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby, with burial in the Canby City Cemetery. Richard “Dick” Bresser, age 75, passed away at his home on May 16, 2026. Dick was born on March 7, 1951, to Robert and Marjorie (Bobo) Bresser in Canby, Minn. He grew up with older twin siblings, Roger and Sheila.

LeRoy “Buck” Dessler, age 85, of Gary, S.D., passed away March 28, 2026, at Avantara Nursing Home in Milbank, S.D. Graveside service with Military Honors will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at Grandview Cemetery in Gary. Houseman Funeral Home in Clear Lake, S.D., is entrusted with the arrangements.

Gerald (Jerry) Baer, age 69, of Canby, Minn., passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Canby City Cemetery in Canby.

Jennifer Streff Moran, lovingly known as Jennie, born on October 8, 1975, in Canby, Minn., passed away on April 30, 2026, in Wausau, Wis. She was 50 years old.
