It’s June everyone! School’s out, I turn 49 on the 16th, we’ll be spending afternoons at the lake when kids aren’t picking rock, working at the local nursing home, or cleaning tractors for a local implement jockey. Could it get any better? For real I don’t think so. I love hanging out with the fam!
I started following a new account on Instagram the other day, and if you don’t want to feel spurred into getting rid of at least half of what you own, do not, I repeat, do not go check out her feed. Unfortunately for my children’s toys, I did, and I am in love with her content.
It is that time of year again! The biting bugs are out, and they are fierce.
Does Canby need another stop sign?
I think not! A lot of people don’t always obey them. I have seen people roll (cruise) through them.
At the 4-way stop at Highway 68 and Highway 75 I have seen people roll through them.
My extended family meets each year at the cabin up north. Some years ago, my aunt was talking about how her husband wasn’t feeling well. His vision had decreased, he seemed confused sometimes, and she wasn’t sure about removing him from his daily, familiar routine. I offered to stay with him for the weekend so she could go.
On Tuesday, May 2, Senate Democrats passed a tax bill that fails to deliver meaningful tax relief and does not provide for the full repeal of the social security income tax. The bill includes a $1.2 billion tax increase and a new controversial, business worldwide tax which has not been implemented in any other state.
Well, I cannot tell you how paring down the girls’ clothes went as I never got it done. I have a million excuses, but it really boils down to the fact that I didn’t want to. That is awful to say as it would help me in the long run, but I have so much to complete in a day, and Asa only naps so long.
We have four rescue cats because, we believe in saving animal lives. We have raised them since they were born. They all love each other and get along amongst themselves and with other cats very well. They LOVE all people so much that when they’re out in front of our house just laying around our yard sunbathing.
Last year around this time I remember scrambling around looking for my flashlight (it was in my car!) and then realizing the batteries in it were dead all the while receiving weather notifications and texts from people saying, “GET IN YOUR BASEMENT NOW!” I was fortunate to escape harm and my power was only out for a short, while but that awful f
When I was thinking about what to write this week, I was drawn to self-care. Self-care, unfortunately, is not something that I actively practice, which I am betting is true of most moms. And as we know, it is hard to fill the buckets’ of others (kids, significant others, friends) without filling our own first.
