Canby High School YAMS declares a Penny War fundraiser December 11-15, for the holiday season. The fundraiser funds will go to the Canby Food Shelf.
Senior Liam MacArthur was nominated by the PE department as the schools’ student of the week. He is the son of Tom and Erika MacArthur and Theresa and Tim Hentges.
The Canby cheerleaders brought spirit to the football games through the season. Cheerleaders included (L-R): Abigail Zitzmann (not seen), Ryann Karsten, Sophia Hanson, Alyssa Hoffman, Kaylee Demmer, Isabel Thompson and Katie Munter.
Canby High School hosted a Junior High Knowledge Bowl meet on Nov. 13 with 19 teams competing to answer questions in history, geography, math, English, art, and science the fastest. The nine schools in attendance included Canby, Marshall, Lakeview, Holy Redeemer, RTR, Wabasso, RCW, Redwood Falls, and Minneota.
Wed., Nov. 22 - Breakfast - Banana chocolate loaf and a cheese stick or choice of cereal with crackers; fruit and juice selection, milk. Lunch - Cheeseburger on a bun or a sunbutter and jelly sandwich; french fries, fruit and vegetable bar, milk.
Thurs., Nov. 23 - NO SCHOOL
The Canby School Board met on November 6.
