Students from Mrs. Barb Antony’s 11th grade English class happily helped remove flags from Central Park Sept. 20.

The Canby School Board met on Monday for another quick and productive meeting.
Superintendent Ryan Nielsen updated the board. 

Mr. Tyler Schindler was interviewed by Genevieve Beutler for this week’s CHS Staff Spotlight! Mr. Schindler’s full name is Tyler Dean Schindler. 
Mr. Schindler grew up in Lake Benton, Minn. He has seven siblings. He enjoys playing family football with his nieces and nephews. 

Senior Bryce Johnson was nominated by the science department as the school’s student of the week. He is the son of Seth Johnson and Mary Johnson.
“Bryce is an independent learner and self-motivated in all his classes. He always has his homework done. Bryce also has a natural instinct for comprehending chemistry,” the department said.

Canby alumni, Kalib Greenman, was among more than 700 students that graduated from the summer semester at Des Moines Area Community College. 
Greenman earned his degree in mortuary science.

Mrs. Barb Antony was interviewed by Andrew Bach for this week’s CHS Staff Spotlight! 
To begin the interview, we discussed what her priorities are. She stated that she loves her job, but family comes first. Having a supportive husband is very important, and so is being organized. 

Senior Sam Drietz was nominated by the English department as the school’s student of the week. He is the son of John and Amy Drietz.
