Lancers fall short in season opener after tough fought battle

Canby opened their baseball season at home Friday, with a 9-6 loss to Edgerton-Southwest MN Christian.

Canby started off well, building a 1-0 lead in the second inning while holding E/SMC scoreless for the first three frames.

Experienced Lancer team looks forward to new season

After a season where they took their lumps, the Canby baseball team returns nearly a full squad with a year of varsity experience under their belts.

Head Coach Nick Kockelman and assistant coaches Eric Hansen and Chantz Engesmoe will lead a squad that can only go up after finishing 0-13 last season.

Canby-Minneota Track, Field look forward to competitive season

Canby/Minneota track and field will again be competitive in the Camden Conference, with the girls looking to continue their dominance, and the boys relying on a mix of talented veterans and eager newcomers.

Canby golf team is ready to hit the courses

Canby Lancers golf teed up practice Monday, March 19, with new faces and strong numbers.

Adam Richter returns for his ninth year as head coach, and he’ll be assisted by first timer Nathan Hulzebos. The Lancers first meet is scheduled for April 9, weather permitting.

Heading to DSU

Zach Ourada was joined by his parents (above), Tony and Dawn Ourada, and sister, Taylor, when signing his letter of intent to play basketball at Dakota State University in Madison, S.D., March 20.
