Saturday in Minneota, Blake Giese topped Joseph Sherwood of ACGC with a 9-4 decision helping the Lancers move on to section finals.
Canby team wrestling came to an end Saturday in Minneota after losing to BBE in the championship match.
The individual sections will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, on the Lancers’ home mat.

At the Individual Youth Wrestling Tournament in Ortonville Feb. 16, five Canby wrestlers fought to first place. Those winning included (third row) Bryce Popowski, (middle, L-R) Mak Pesek, Roy Popowski, and Maxen Merritt; and (front) Bella Popowski.
The Lancers spent last week on the road, traveling to both Tyler and Lakeview. The girls will head to Luverne tonight for the last regular season game before section play starts in Montevideo Friday when Canby takes on MACCRAY at 4 p.m.

During the Lancers’ home game Friday, Zach Ourada fought the TMB opponent for possession.
Canby split last week, defeating RCW on the road and losing to TMB at home.
Tonight the Lancers are hosting Lakeview with varsity starting at 7:15 p.m.

Canby cruised to an 81-45 win at RCW Tuesday night.
Ava Danielson didn’t let the BOLD defenders stop her while driving her way to the lane Feb. 5 against BOLD at home.
The Lady Lancers had a tough week being downed by BOLD and TMB.
Looking to turn things around this week, the girls will head to Lakeview Thursday, Feb. 15.

Canby had a rough time at home Feb, 5 falling to the BOLD Warriors 67-38.
Dylan Houseman leaned back to pass the ball around the YME defenders during the Lancers’ home victory Friday.
Canby picked up two wins in three games last week as they split a pair of Camden Conference contests while snagging a non-conference W.

Canby had a tough week last week, falling to CMCS at home and Dawson-Boyd on the road.
This week they will try to turn things around tonight in Minneota and Friday as they host YME.
