During the Lancers’ home loss to Edgerton Thursday, Otto Sik hit the dirt when stealing third base.
The Lancers finished out their home season last week, losing to both Minneota and Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian.
They began section play Saturday in Raymond where they face MACCRAY. Results will be in the June 7 Canby News.

The Canby/Minneota girls pulled out a narrow Sub-Section championship win and the boys took fourth at Redwood Valley Thursday night.
There will be a meeting on Tuesday, June 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Canby Sportsmen’s Club for those interested in youth archery.

Canby/Minneota girls track and field played it conservative at the Class A State True Team meet in Stillwater Saturday, May 21, taking 11th out of 12 teams.
After winning the Camden Conference title less than 48 hours prior, and having graduation the night before, the Lancers elected to not run at full strength.
The Vikings softball season came to an end with a close 2-1 loss to Windom in Luverne last Tuesday.
The game started off slow with neither team putting runs on the board in the first inning.
Dakota Pesch got the Vikings started off with a double to right field, bringing in AshleeAnn Cole.
