Prairie Lives
Douglas Hamilton was born in 1948 in Willmar, Minn., the first of two sons, to Douglas and Gertrude (Pierce) Hamilton. The Hamilton’s lived in Grove City, but his dad ran a car lot in nearby Atwater.
The Hamilton’s were Seventh Day Adventists, which made them unique in Grove City.
The Library Nook
The winter reading program runs now through March 30. Stop by the library to sign up. Read six books to receive a prize!

Area History
In January 1924, the Community Club of Canby held an Agriculture Short Course and Community Meeting at the high school auditorium with meetings in the morning, afternoon, and the evening of January 21 and 22. There were four headline speakers; J. G. Haney, J. L. Wenstadt, Zella Wigent, and L. A. Hawkins.
