From March 2017 - The Canby Lancer wrestlers’ top 10 GPAs calculated out to being the highest GPA of Class A for the 2017 school year; the award “Academic State Champions” was issued out by the Minnesota Wrestlers Coaches Association.
Ashton Perry and Matthew Rheingans, second year diesel technology students at Minnesota West Canby Campus, spoke at the March 17 meeting of Canby Rotary, held at the campus.
This week isn’t particularly about Canby but about the congressman who represented Yellow Medicine County in the United States Congress in 1920. His name was Andrew J. Volstead from Granite Falls. He had two very important pieces of legislation that he authored that year.
