This week and next will be about the Canby Roller Mills. This was the flour mill that was located in the area of Independent Oil Company and Doug’s Service and Marine on the corner of St. Olaf Avenue and First Street (aka Front Street). St. Olaf Avenue, now Highway 75, did not exist for the first block heading south at the time.
Dawson-Boyd Arts Association presents an evening with singer songwriter and international performer Charlie Roth on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium in Dawson. Originally from Lac qui Parle County, Roth will be joined by local vocalist Mary Melby and musician Cristina Seaborn.
