Leo Revett Fuhrman

Leo Fuhrman was born at 3:42 a.m. on Feb. 15, 2024, to Luke and Chelsey Fuhrman, of Lake Cochrane, weighing 7 pounds, 3.2 ounces and measuring 19 inches. He joins big brother Vincent. Grandparents are Monte and Kim Fuhrman of Spirit Lake, Iowa, and Roger and Connie Johnson of Watertown, S.D.

Rotary of Canby

At the Feb. 22 Rotary Club of Canby meeting, Chris and Sara (Doom) Reagan talked about their passion for conservation. Student Rotarians included (below, L-R) Lacey DeVos, Evan Engesmoe, and Liam MacArthur.


During Kris Cleveland’s last trip to San Lucas she was able to help deliver a wheelchair donated by Casie VanEngen to Maria de Los Angeles (bottom) and even got to meet Genesis, the sponsor child of the Canby Lions Club.

Kris Cleveland recently returned from her sixth mission trip to San Lucas, Guatemala, her fourth with the A’kala Family Foundation.

I came across full page ad from M. Lundring and Sons implement dealership from 1924 in the February 8 issue of the Canby News. I have included a picture of the ad this week. They had a spring sale on new John Deere, Moline and Case lines of equipment.

The Library Nook

The winter reading program runs now through March 30. Stop by the library to sign up. Read six books to receive a prize!

Pipe cleaner turtle is our next activity in the library, running from Tuesday, Feb. 20, to Saturday, March 2. This activity is available anytime the library is open.

Rotary of Canby

At the Feb. 15 Rotary Club of Canby, member Reed Frazeur (above) spoke of conspiracy theories such as those believing the earth is flat. Student Rotarians included (below, L-R) Lacey DeVos, Kolton Duis, and Liam MacArthur.

Bloodmobile exceeded goal

The February 15 bloodmobile exceeded the goal of 77 units by 4 units.

There were 75 potential donors with six deferrals and four incompletes for a total of 81 units collected with the power red cell units.
