Paper Boy
Connor Diekmann tried his hand at delivering papers at the Bike Rodeo on Wednesday at the elementary school in Canby. The bike raffle winners were Madeline Bednarek, Julia Hanson and Melodie Shaffer.

Rotary
Sherry Olson, program manager of the Southwestern Center for Independent Living (SWCIL), spoke at the Canby Rotary on August 25 telling of the services available for persons with disabilities in the ten county area served by the Marshall Center.
Area History from the Canby Depot
On Aug. 20, Julie and I went to Tracy to hear a talk about the trials of 391 Indians of which 303 were recommended to be hung. The others were acquitted. The trial transcripts were sent to President Lincoln. He had his lawyers review them. The number was reduced to 38 that received the death sentence.

1 packet au jus mix
6 Tbsp. butter (I use one stick)
1 jar pepperoncini peppers (I use a jar of sliced banana peppers.)
