Maxine attended and graduated from Canby High School. She was united in marriage to Orville Larson on April 22, 1951, in Canby, Minn., to this union five daughters were born. After their marriage, they made their home in rural Canby and farmed in their early years and later moved to Dawson.

Maxine was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson where she served on a church circle. She spent many hours cross stitching, which she did several pieces and did one for each of her 17 grandchildren to give to them as they got married to treasure for years to come. She enjoyed gardening, to which she did a lot of canning from the produce of her garden. She loved to read, sew, and complete jig saw puzzles. She did many, many perms for family and friends, where a lot of coffee was drank and laughing until tears came.

Maxine was a stay at home mom until her daughters were older. She then worked at K & W Hardware for Earl and Cheryl Kloss until they sold it to Gene and Donna Maiers and then stayed on and worked for them. She also worked at Minnwest Bank and the Dawson Co-op Credit Union from where she retired. Maxine would work side by side with Orville, staining and varnishing the beautiful wood pieces that Orville made. But the thing that she loved most was spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Deanna (Jim) Nelson of Dawson, Lynn (Tim) Hilde of Vergas, Minn., Sandy (Bob) Pehrson of Dawson, Amy (David) Dahl of Dawson; son-in-law, Bob Lahl of Chaska, Minn.; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Deloris Livermore; sister-in-law, Janice Melby; and extended family and friends.
