Sharon Shultz

Sharon Shultz died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, at CCM Health in Montevideo at the age of 82.

Memorial Services were held Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, at St. Leo Catholic Church. Fr. Mike Doyle was the Celebrant and burial was in the church cemetery.

Sharon Lee (Olson) Shultz was born June 19, 1940, in Canby, Minn., the daughter of Dona and Frances (Kruckman) Olson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith and graduated from Canby High School in 1958. After graduation, she worked for Green Giant in Glencoe and then at an insurance company in the cities.

She was united in marriage with Jim Grengs on May 14, 1960, and they lived near St. Leo, Minn. To this union two sons were born, Christopher and Jon. Jim died on February 17, 1974. She married Jack Lynne in September of 1976 and moved to Clarkfield. Jack died in January of 1995. In September of 2001 she married Gerald “Jerry” Shultz and moved to Hazel Run. They moved to Montevideo a few years later.

Over the years, she held a variety of jobs. She retired after working 10 years at Wal-Mart in Montevideo. She also worked part-time making hunting clothes in her home for Clarkfield Outdoors in Clarkfield.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; two sons, Christopher (Natalie) of Connecticut and Jon (Corina) of Clarkfield; her grandchildren, James (Sadie) Grengs, Dave (Dayna) Grengs, Elisabeth (Justin) Risinger, Joseph Grengs, Kassaundra Grengs, Matthew Grengs, and Nathan Grengs; great-grandchildren, Dean, Jack, Max, Kaiden, Triss, Asher, Braylen, and Madison; and also step-children, step grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five sisters, Carol (Dennis) Marston Stanley, Mary, Deb, Peg (Linnae), and Beth; and a sister-in-law Char.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two husbands; brothers, Tom, Dwayne, and Bob; a sister, Delores; two sisters-in-law, Karen Olson and Jackie Olson; a brother-in-law, Warren Brant; a step-son, Kevin Shultz; and a step-daughter, Jeryl Martin.
