North Dakota State University recently named 1,605 students to the Spring 2023 graduation list.
Among these graduates was Canby native Tyler Goplen who earned a degree in the Agricultural Economics program.
Bob Mickelson with ISG attended the July 17 meeting of the Canby School Board virtually. Mickelson shared a building project update, bringing the plans up on screen while he talked through the improvements.
The Canby School Board met on July 17 with a slew of action items on the agenda.
The Academic High Honor and Honor lists (Dean's lists) for the past spring semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato, have been announced by Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs David Hood.
To qualify for academic honors, undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours for the semester.
Some of last year’s Canby Elementary School third graders traveled to Lake Benton to watch fellow classmate, Caleb Van Hyfte (front, middle), perform in Mary Poppins at the Lake Benton Opera House on Sunday. Van Hyfte made his theatre debut with the roll of raggedy boy doll.
Last week, upcoming sixth grades at the Canby Elementary School and St. Peter’s School attended Legionville, a safety camp offering basic First Aid, canoeing, and swimming safety.
The following students graduated after the spring 2023 semester at South Dakota State University (SDSU). More than 1,400 students completed all requirements for a degree and/or certificate program, and those requirements have been verified by the appropriate college.

Grace Lyall, of Hendricks, was named to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Spring Dean’s List.
Qualification for the dean's list is limited to students who have attained outstanding academic achievement. To be eligible, students must have earned not less than a 3.5 semester grade point average and carried a minimum of 12 credits.
