The Canby School Board met on May 1.
Elementary Principal Ryan Arndt said preschool graduations are coming up along with field trips. Grandparent’s day lunch is scheduled for May 12, Discovery time May 15-18, and Awards day is on May 17.

Senior Sawyer Drietz was nominated by the media arts department as the school’s student of the week. He is the son of Megan Gilbertson and Bryan Drietz.
“Sawyer works well with his classmates to create creative and entertaining videos,” the department said.

Canby High School students were treated to a special lunch last Tuesday. Chef Brian Renz from Taher cooked up an amazing Paella dish on one of the largest fry pans one will ever see. The goal of this program is to introduce students to foods from other regions of the world. Learning has never been so delicious!
