The students at Canby High School enjoyed a fun afternoon on Feb. 18 to celebrate Snow Week. Along with dress up days throughout the week, some participated in fun events Friday afternoon including a pie eating contest. The Minnesota FFA Foundation recognizes National FFA Week as an opportunity for supporters of agricultural education and the FFA to give back and invest in the strength of these programs. Some of these opportunities are as follows.
We left for the national FFA convention, held in Indianapolis, Ind., on Oct. 25 We went as a group of five, including our advisor Mr. Dessonville. The group that went were Sadie Skogen, Natalie Meyer, Grace Fairchild, Rachel Fairchild, and Natalie Briggs. We all enjoyed meeting new people from every state.
Senior Parker Verhelst was nominated by the physical education department as the school’s student of the week. He is the son of Lee and Brandy Verhelst.
