Lancer boys basketball plotting a path for the future

"We are looking to set the foundation, as far as the culture of Canby basketball, for winning basketball for years to come."

That is the main goal of Canby boys basketball coach Eric Hansen as he looks forward to a year of transition.

Hey Ref...

Kevin Hansen, Canby Elementary’s physical education teacher, and his crew will be reffing the 9-man state championship game at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Saturday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m.  This game will be televised on channel 45 out of the Twin Cities.

Pacesetters

These sophomore boys had a great experience at the Pacesetter tournament this past weekend at the Target Center in the cities. They came up a little short in the championship, but their coach, Sawyer Hansen, couldn’t be more proud of how hard they competed all weekend against some great competition.

Committed to Play

Committed to play On Nov. 10, Maya Wente (above, middle) signed her commitment papers to play volleyball next year at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, S.D. She was joined by her parents (above), Tracy and Keith Wente.
