
Cynthia Kockelman
Cynthia “Cindy” Barbara Kockelman, of Shakopee, Minn., passed away at the age of 59 on Dec.18, 2025, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Born on July 8, 1966, Cindy grew up on the family farm outside of St. Leo, Minn., with her parents and four siblings. She graduated from Canby High School in 1984 and attended Southwestern Technical Institute in Granite Falls, Minn. Cindy married Dean Kockelman in 1986 and moved to Minneota, Minn., and then to Savage, Minn. They had three sons she proudly supported during many sporting events while they were growing up. She later moved to the Bruce, Wisc., area and resided there until returning to Shakopee. After working in Accounting for many years, Cindy's career was cut short due to ongoing medical issues.
Cindy was caring, kind to all, and had a strong faith in God. She loved spending time with her family and being a grandmother. Cindy was a big Minnesota sports fan and especially enjoyed cheering on the Vikings and Twins. She also served her church community by regularly volunteering after services.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Kronabetter; sister, Kimberly Kronabetter; and grandchildren, Rowan and Nora Kockelman. Cindy is survived by her mother, Marilyn Kronabetter; sons: Michael (JuliAnna) Kockelman, Sean (Shaeli) Kockelman, and Jordan Kockelman; siblings: Scott (Ren) Kronabetter, Michelle (Terry) Nord, and Joe (Julie) Kronabetter; grandchildren: Kimberly, Skylar, Colt and Luna Kockelman; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and other extended family and friends who will all miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Shakopee, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Mount Olive Lutheran Church: 12700 Marystown Rd., Shakopee, MN 55379
