Sharon "Suzie" Plinske Vernlund

Loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Sharon Plinske Vernlund, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025, at the age of 87 in Temple, Texas. She was born in Canby, Minnesota, on August 26, 1938, to Hazel and Arthur.
Suzie was raised in Canby and graduated from Canby High School. Soon after high school, she married Lenus Vernlund and together they raised four children: Michael, Kimberly, Caroline and Caryn. Her hobbies included swimming and gardening.
After moving to Austin, Texas, she obtained her certificate of dentistry and worked as a dental assistant to Dr. Wellis and Dr. Hutchison of what is now called Hutchison Dental.
She is survived by her four children: Michael Vernlund, Seattle, Washington, Kimberly Sikes, Temple, Texas, Caroline Hawley, Austin, Texas, and Caryn Ryan, Tempe, Arkansas; grandchildren: Jeremiah Johnson, Vanessa Hawley, Teress Smith and Annie Ryan; great-grandchildren: Michaella and Angelica Johnson, Karis and Dylan Hoffmann, and Alden, Emery and Owen Smith.
She was kind to all. A clean living woman with a heart of gold!
