Todd Edward Buys

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Todd Edward Buys on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, at his home in Canby, Minnesota. 
Todd was born on March 11, 1967, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Edward and Donna Buys.   
Todd graduated from Canby High School in 1985.  He then attended St. Cloud State University, getting his BA in Business.  He proudly served in the Army National Guard. Todd loved nature, hunting, and using his creative spirit in his construction projects.  
Todd Buys is survived by his sons, Jack Buys and Alex Buys; mother, Donna Buys; sisters, Debra (Alan) Hardison, Cheryl (Bill) Haines and Valerie (Cody) McMichael; and many nieces and nephews who will continue to honor his memory and legacy. 
Todd Buys was preceded in death by his father, Ed Buys; grandparents, Kenneth and Nell Holm and John and Johanna Buys; and several aunts and uncles.
A private service to celebrate Todd’s life will be held by his family.
Todd will be forever missed but never forgotten. His legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
