Dassel man dies in car-tractor accident south of Canby
On Sept. 26, at approximately 8:34 p.m., the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a call of a motor vehicle crash involving a passenger car and tractor with farm machinery attached. The crash occurred in Norman Township south of Canby on Yellow Medicine County Road 36 a half mile west of Hwy 75.
City council discusses American Relief Plan funds as deadline for Sportman’s Club looms
At the Canby City Council meeting on Sept. 22, the council discussed the American Relief Plan funds and approved the 2022 preliminary budget and levy.
Foreign exchange student, Selin Arici, joins Canby’s junior class
Selin Arici, originally from Samsun, Turkey, will be calling Canby home for the next 10 months. Arici is staying with Carrie and Cheyenne Benson and attending Canby High School as a part of a foreign exchange student program.

This past weekend was one of my favorite weekends of the whole year. It was the annual family visit to Camp Lebanon for their women’s retreat. My mom and two sisters have made this trip each fall since 2012 with only a couple years where one or another of us couldn’t make it.
