Jamie (James) Dean Jelen, age 52, a devoted husband and father, passed away peacefully at his home on July 25, 2026, surrounded by his family, following a courageous eight-year battle with metastatic prostate cancer.  Mass of Christian Burial was held July 31, at St. Leo Catholic Church in St. Leo, Minn., with Fr. Tanner Thooft celebrating.

Darlene Voxland, age 88, of Plymouth, Minn., passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026. She was born to Herman and Marie Termunde in Canby, Minn., on October 31, 1937.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Voxland; sister, Vivian Oakes; brother, Darrold Eugene Termunde; and nephew, Gene Termunde.

ean J. Crowley, 73, of Canby, Minn., passed away July 14, 2026, at Franklin Restorative Care Center in Franklin, Minn., after his battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Dean had requested a private memorial service with his immediate family. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby, is entrusted with the arrangements.

John E. Reyerson, age 82, of Canby, Minn., passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Sylvan Court Nursing Home in Canby. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby. Visitation will be held Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Canby City Cemetery.

Dane Nordquist, 71, of Canby, Minn., passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby, Minn. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m.

Duane “Dewey” Arnold Sundin, died Dec. 11, 2025, at Benedictine Living Community, St. Peter, Minn., at age 88.

Memorial service is 11 a.m., Friday, July 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Peter with visitation at 10 a.m. Private family burial will be at Ft. Snelling, Minneapolis.

Mass of Christian Burial for Ruth Winkels, age 102, will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2026, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Canby, Minn. A private family burial will be in the St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Canby. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby is entrusted with the arrangements.

Sandra Fae Nelson, age 82, of Canby, Minn., passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Sylvan Court Nursing Home in Canby. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby. Visitation will be held Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
