On March 2, 1934, a baby girl, Karen Elizabeth, was born in Granite Falls to Martha and Oscar Anderson.
Karen died at home surrounded by family on April 4, 2024, and will be remembered for her sharp mind, sense of humor, and love of beauty.
Our beloved mother, wife and grandmother, Ann Claire Riekena (Thorson) of Mesa, Ariz., passed away on March 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family following a two year fight with cancer.
William “Bill” West, 85, of Clarkfield, died on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at his home in rural Clarkfield. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 1-2 p.m., with the memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. at the J.H. Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield.

Norma Severson, age 78, of Canby, Minn., passed away April 2, 2024, at Avantara Care Center in Lake Norden, S.D. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby. Visitation will be Tuesday, one hour prior to service at the church.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Garfield Lutheran Church, rural Madison.

Janis Rae Fritz passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023, at her assisted living facility in Mesa, Ariz. She was 93 years old.
Steven M. Schanning, age 68, of Gary, S.D., passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024. Funeral Service was held Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby, Minn., with Rev. Levi Bollerud and Father Ron Huberty officiating. Burial took place at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Canby.
Velva Knutson, of Madison, formerly of Dawson, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Prairie Winds Assisted Living in Madison at the age of 99.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 22, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson.
LeWayne Carlson, age 59, of Marshall, Minn., died peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at his home.
Memorial Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. Interment will follow in the Florida Lutheran Cemetery outside Canby, Minn.
