Steven “Louie” Lee Kaas, 56, of Russell, Minn., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., from complications of cancer. A public memorial service will take place at Veterans Park in Minneota on Sept. 4, 2026, at 1 p.m., followed by a reception at the Southwest Sportsman’s Club in Minneota until 5 p.m.

Pamela Jean Tebben-Cornwell, 68, of Keystone, Iowa, formerly of Canby, Minn., died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Houseman Birk Funeral Home, 111 Fifth St. E., Canby.

Reid Buer passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at Prairie Winds Assisted Living in Madison, Minn., surrounded by his family. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, Aug. 28, from 2-4 p.m. at the Chapel at Prairie Winds Assisted Living.

Barbara Pronk, age 85, of Marshall, Minn., passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, at her home. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Porter, Minn. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug.

Jamie (James) Dean Jelen, age 52, a devoted husband and father, passed away peacefully at his home on July 25, 2026, surrounded by his family, following a courageous eight-year battle with metastatic prostate cancer.  Mass of Christian Burial was held July 31, at St. Leo Catholic Church in St. Leo, Minn., with Fr. Tanner Thooft celebrating.

Darlene Voxland, age 88, of Plymouth, Minn., passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026. She was born to Herman and Marie Termunde in Canby, Minn., on October 31, 1937.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Voxland; sister, Vivian Oakes; brother, Darrold Eugene Termunde; and nephew, Gene Termunde.

ean J. Crowley, 73, of Canby, Minn., passed away July 14, 2026, at Franklin Restorative Care Center in Franklin, Minn., after his battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Dean had requested a private memorial service with his immediate family. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby, is entrusted with the arrangements.

John E. Reyerson, age 82, of Canby, Minn., passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Sylvan Court Nursing Home in Canby. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby. Visitation will be held Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Canby City Cemetery.
