Pamela Tebben-Cornwell

Pamela Jean Tebben-Cornwell, 68, of Keystone, Iowa, formerly of Canby, Minn., died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Houseman Birk Funeral Home, 111 Fifth St. E., Canby.

Pamela was born Jan. 28, 1958, in Canby, the daughter of Duane and Cozette (Christianson) Melcher. She graduated from Canby High School and went on to earn her associate’s degree from Pipestone College in Minnesota. Pamela worked for Tebben Trucking and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Havelock, Minn.

On Oct. 30, 2024, Pamela married Donald Eugene Cornwell in Benton County, Iowa. She had a passion for interior design and especially enjoyed decorating for the holidays, with Christmas being a favorite. Pamela loved to travel, particularly to the mountains and Branson, Mo. She also looked forward to the fall harvest each year, when she trucked sugar beets for area farmers. Above all, Pamela treasured the time she spent with her family and the memories they made together.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Cornwell; her children: Jeremy (Alyssa) Tebben and Lance Tebben; her grandchildren: Riley (Taylor) Tebben, Avery Tebben, Thomas Cornwell and Amber (Robbie) Holder; great-grandchildren: Damon Holder, Dacoda Cornwell and Megan Cornwell; her granddog, Fez; her doggie, Cuddles; and her brother, Leroy Melcher.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Mike Melcher; and her doggie, Buddy.
