Brad Rhea, age 72, of Canby, Minnesota, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 20, 2025. A private family graveside memorial service will be held at the Canby City Cemetery, and no public service will be held. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby, has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
Ruth Margaret Wahlstrom, 82, of Tiffin, Ohio, passed peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at her home.
She was born on November 27, 1942, to John A. and Nellie M. (Leuenberger) Wahlstrom in Canby, Minnesota.
A memorial service for William “Bill” Haigh, 87, of Aberdeen, South Dakota, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 21, at Plymouth Congregational UCC, with Pastor Blair Kirkpatrick officiating. Bill passed away on June 27, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center in Aberdeen.
Glenda Mae Garbers was born on February 9, 1935, to Gerrit and Mary (Van Peursem) Korver in Orange City, Iowa. She was raised on a farm near Orange City. When she was 5 years old, she moved with her family to a farm in Pipestone County, near Holland, Minnesota. She attended school in District 71.
RoseMary (Stone) Schmitz, age 82, of Minnetonka, passed away on June 25, 2025. Preceded in death by parents, Stanton and Frances Stone, and brother, Ed.
Mass of Christian Burial for Michael Cyril Kern, 77, of Dayton, Minnesota, formerly of Taunton, will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Ghent. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment with military honors will follow the service at St.
Lois A. Fales, age 67, of Canby, Minnesota, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mass of Christian Burial took place June 28, 2025, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Canby with burial at the St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Canby.
The funeral service for Orval Ulrich, 83, of Canby, formerly of Minneota, will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at First Lutheran Church in Marshall. A recording of the service will be available later on the church’s YouTube channel. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m.
Gerda Denelsbeck Bliss, age 99, of Canby, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the Sylvan Court Nursing Home in Canby. Funeral service was held Monday, June 16, 2025 at the Dawson Covenant Church, rural Dawson, Minnesota, with burial in the Dawson Covenant Cemetery.
