On Sept. 24 at the age of 82, Lois Ann Pearson went to her heavenly home. After a long battle with Parkinson’s, Lois passed quietly surrounded by family at her home in New Perspective Senior Living, Waconia, Minnesota,.

Reed Frazeur

Reed Allen Frazeur, 46, of Canby, Minnesota, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sept. 20, 2025.  Funeral service took place on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at Antelope Hills Christian Church in Canby with burial in the Canby City Cemetery. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby was entrusted with the arrangements.

Audrey Hansen

Audrey A. Hansen, age 91, of Canby, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, at the Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson, Minnesota. Memorial service took place Saturday, Sept. 20, at Nicolai Lutheran Church in Canby with burial at the Canby City Cemetery.

Avis Kruger

Avis Kruger, age 94, of Canby, Minnesota passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral service were held Monday, Sept. 22, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gary, South Dakota, with a visitation Sunday, Sept. 21, at the Houseman Funeral Home-Birk Chapel in Canby.

Amanda Kack

Amanda “Mandy” Kack, age 41, of rural Canby, Minnesota, passed away surrounded by her family and friends on hospice care at her home on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m.

Marlene Gottskalkson

The memorial service commemorating the life of Marlene Gottskalkson, 86, of Minneota, will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at the Lincoln Icelandic Lutheran Cemetery in Ivanhoe, Minnesota.

Walter Lacek

Walter Lacek, age 93, of Canby, Minnesota, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, surrounded by his family at his home in Canby. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial took place Sept. 6 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Canby. Inurnment was held at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Canby with military honors.

Nathan Otto

Nathan William Otto lived for 36 hours. He is the infant son of Zachary and Becca (Saltee) Otto of Walnut Grove, Minnesota. He was born on Aug. 25, 2025. 
Grandparents are Alan and Julie Saltee of Canby and Jeffrey and Monica Otto of Lucan, Minnesota. He has two older brothers, Thomas (6) and Theo (3).

Dawn Tyler

Dawn Tyler, of Dawson, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls at the age of 69.
A memorial service was held on Aug. 28, 2025, at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson, with Rev. Kendall Stelter officiating. Interment took place at the Florida Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Canby.
