Barb Miller, age 78, of Gary, South Dakota, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral service took place Friday, Aug. 29, at the Gary Methodist Church. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel of Canby, Minnesota, was entrusted with handling the arrangements.
Cynthia “Cindy” Hiedeman, age 73, of Canby, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025, at the Sanford Canby Medical Center. Celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.
Dawn Tyler, of Dawson, died Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls at the age of 69.

Marcellus Walter Ratajczak, 81, of Sabin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, in his home.
Marcellus was born in Ivanhoe, Minnesota, on Sept. 28, 1943, to Walter and Frances (Citterman) Ratajczak. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Ivanhoe High School.

Kevin Lacek, age 65, of Canby, Minnesota, passed away at his home after battling pancreatic cancer on Monday, August 11, 2025. Mass of Christian Burial took place August 14 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Canby. Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Canby.
